Hello There!

 HI!! I’m Jewels and I ADORE natural, relaxed, minimally edited portrait photography! (Photoshop will never touch any of my portraits!!)

I love the art of photography, the beauty of it, the challenge of it, the FUN of it, and every aspect of constantly learning about it! I started studying photography in 2012 when my older kids were small and I couldn't afford most portrait photography options. My goal was to create amazing portraits at prices that didn't shatter everyone's budgets! EVERY family deserves to have quality portraits in their home of those that they love. So I tagged along and learned from many area photographers over the years, I have taken too many to count online courses & webinars, and I continue to be a student of "well that didn't work as I well as I thought it would" as well as "WOW that worked out amazing-I can't wait to do that again!"

I am a small town living, coffee addicted mom who loves to shop at thrift/antique stores as well as online Amazon, Shein, or Target--anywhere there is a bargain! I am a very proud single Mom of 3 amazing kids and 3 crazy awesome grand kids who are my world!! I love to multi-task and rarely have down time...which I’m perfectly ok with! The busier my life is, the happier I am! I work full-time at a local hospital doing a job that I LOVE! When you see me out and about I am probably wearing minimal to no make-up, have simple sneakers on, and am either wearing a hoodie & jeans or a t-shirt & jeans--which the jeans have typically been thrifted and the hoodies probably came from other small businesses in the area or are school related--or both!

I am as simple as they come, but I am a crazy perfectionist when it comes to your portraits!!

I love having fun with people, being dorky, coming up with new session ideas & locations, making people laugh and showing off their true smiles & laughter. My portrait sessions are always relaxed and fun because the more fun we have together the more amazing your portraits will be!

I am crazy honored to be trusted to capture moments for you that will last a lifetime as art in your home and as great memories in your heart! When you look at your portraits, you will smile remembering how much bribery was said to the kids before you arrived, how much fun you had during the session, and realizing when it was all over that it really was fun and you stressed for nothing!! Trust me...you will treasure those precious smiles & laughter that echoed through the air, which are now treasured moments frozen in time forever displayed in your home to be seen by all on a daily basis.

As a photographer I am asking high school seniors, couples, new parents, and families who are sometimes in some of the most stressful times of your life to trust me with capturing the beauty, the love, the fun & laughter, those simple moments & the special occasions that mean the most to you!
